The show started late, much to our disappointment, despite our efforts to be in our seats 15 minutes early for the 8:00 PM start time. We were then greeted with a message saying "The Show Will Start in 30 Minutes" around 8:20, extending our wait before the show began. Sitting in the under-sized Dolbe Theater seats for 65 minutes prior to the show starting, the total concert experience could potentially exceed 3.5 hours, which is far beyond the Senior Endurance range.
The majority of American Tapestry fans are aged 65 and older. When the 30-minute notice was given, many rushed to the bathrooms, realizing they couldn't hold it for nearly 3 hours. It seems both the audience and the band are in the same age range, so why the long delay? While the bio was informative, it wasn't a priority for restroom breaks. The constant flow of people in and out of our aisle due to bathroom trips led to disruptions throughout the concert, with bathroom lines even longer than the intermission.
Setting aside bodily functions, the sound quality was a bit distorted, possibly due to clipping. As a retired musician, I expected better clarity from the Dolbe system. Adjusting the gain and focusing on audio quality could help improve the overall experience.
Despite the setbacks, I remain a devoted American Tapestry fan and wish them continued success. They are one of the few rock bands from the golden age that are still performing live. I offer these comments as constructive criticism. This concludes my lengthy feedback, and I will now take a quick break.
